Biography of Mark Bentley

Mark is a geoscientist with a particular interest in reservoir modelling and simulation and their application to handling subsurface uncertainty and risk. Initially with Shell, he spent most of his career consulting and running training events with TRACS, which continues to this day; he now also holds a part-time position in the Institute of GeoEnergy Engineering at Heriot-Watt in Edinburgh. He is co-author with Phil Ringrose of the text ‘Reservoir Model Design’ and someday hopes to deliver a training course in Antarctica.
