The network group Production optimization and Reservoir management is happy to invite you to this in-person seminar. We will be talking about gas vs oil production: adjusting to the new political and economic climate. Will this change the way we will develop and operate Norwegian oil and gas fields?

Introduction:
The recent rocketing of gas prices, that started in 2nd half 2021 and peaked when Russia attacked Ukraine, was an eye opener for many Europeans on how dependent Europe is on gas import, and that much of this gas came from Russia. The immediate consequence is that from a security of supply perspective, Norwegian gas is very popular in Europe these days. Will this change the way we will develop and operate Norwegian oil and gas fields?
The seminar will include some examples of how the two largest operators in Norway have changed their production strategy and give more holistic views on Norway’s importance in the European gas supply. There will also be an opportunity to show what you have done with your asset in these circumstances.
