The geophysical methods group is pleased to announce our first in-person event for the Geophysical Methods group: a Lunch & Learn on the Fundamentals of Borehole Seismic Technology, presented by Neil Kelsall, Rogelio Rufino and Rafael Guerra, Schlumberger.

During this workshop, the main borehole seismic technologies used in the oil and gas industry will be reviewed, some key principles will be highlighted, and several case studies will be discussed. The wide range of technical material covered should be useful as an introduction for young professionals or as a refresher for the more experienced. The informal format adopted will encourage discussion and questions and answers.
Agenda (10h30 – 13h30 = 1h + 1h lunch + 1 h):
Borehole seismic introduction (10 min)
Data acquisition technology on wireline and on fiber optics (20 min)
LWD seismic while drilling technology (30 min)
