Webinar: Vår Energi Retrofit Multilateral Campaign: Existing infrastructure utilization to reduce emissions and costs

Retrofit multilateral technology is practical and economically lucrative way to reduce carbon footprint when developing new and mature assets. The case presented is Goliat Retrofit MLT campaign of 2021, where operator added laterals to producing subsea wells in Barents sea. Author also covers the methodology for CO2 avoidance calculations to demonstrate beyond doubt significant GHG emission reduction as compared to drilling new wells from scratch.

Target audience for the session is subsurface professionals actively involved in field development planning, who might benefit from having yet another technique not only to improve project economy but also greatly reduce GHG emissions at the design stage.
