04/10/2021 From the FORCE Geophysical Methods working group, we're pleased to announce dual Fall 2021 virtual seminars: “Reflections on FWI” (25 October 2021), and “Impressions of FWI” (1 November 2021). The dual seminars will allow us to cover all the latest in technical developments from key vendors, as well as review recent case studies and applications from leading operators. Please set your calendars and join us for two “revealing” sessions on the latest developments and applications in FWI technology.
Session 1, Oct. 25: “Reflections on FWI” – noon to 4pm.
Our first session will be a series of technical presentations from top FWI vendors, including PGS, WesternGeco, CGG, DUG, Ion and TGS, with a focus on real-world issues of FWI: challenges, limitations, geographical and structural implications, acquisition parameters and how they interact with algorithms, etc. Anticipated presentations include Where FWI has Been and Where it is Going, High-frequency FWI for Interpretation, Using Ultra-long Offsets with FWI, and FWI with OBN. Each presentation will include audience Q&A with the presenting specialists.
