Objectives:

Production optimization and Reservoir management is a multidisciplinary task and a central part of a company’s field development strategy, with the focus of maximizing hydrocarbon recovery, while keeping the costs low, minimizing the environmental footprint and avoiding incidents.

This network group was established in 2016 with the objective to share knowledge and increase the use of advanced methods within the following themes:

  • Improve understanding of sweep mechanism
  • Production optimisation
  • Well technologies
  • Reservoir surveillance and monitoring - Identification of remaining hydrocarbon resources

Scopes:

  • Organize workshops / lunch & learn
  • Bring contractors and oil companies together to discuss relevant topics
  • Provide an arena for discussion of Production Optimization and Reservoir Management issues

We encourage service companies, oil companies and academics to contact the network group if they have ideas or project proposals that they want to bring to the attention of the community.
