Sand Injectites, origin, imaging, characterisation

The Force Geophysical Methods network group invites you to join a one-day seminar to share recent developments and experience within imaging and characterisation of sand injectites.

Injected reservoirs continue to generate an exciting area for research and new exploration, both on the NCS and the UK sector. Detection of injected sands on seismic data is often challenging. Imaging quality is dependent on a combination of sand thickness, dip, and the impedance contrast between sand and shales.
The committee invites you to submit a presentation on any of the following topics:
- Origin and field analogues
- Forward modelling, survey design, and novel seismic acquisition
- Earth model building
- High end imaging
- Reservoir characterisation
- Drilling / Post-well lessons learned
Submit your proposed talk before the end of February, with title and a short description to one of the committee members listed below. To encourage an informal exchange of ideas there is no obligation to permanently publish material presented at seminar.
