• Guidelines for nominating blocks for the 24th licensing round

  14/03/2019 Nominated blocks are divided into two categories – “interesting” and “very interesting ”. The total number of nominated blocks should be limited to a maximum of 15. The nominations should not exceed one A4 page for each block/combination of blocks that is nominated.

  14/03/2019 On 13 March 2017 the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy sent blocks nominated for announcement on a public consultation process.

• 24th licensing round - announcement

  14/03/2019 Today, 21 June 2017, the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE) announced the 24th licensing round. In this round, 102 blocks/parts of blocks will be announced, divided among 9 in the Norwegian Sea and 93 in the Barents Sea.

  14/03/2019 Eleven companies have applied for production licenses in the 24th licensing round on the Norwegian shelf. The deadline for applications was 30 November.

  14/03/2019 Today, 18 June, the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy offers 12 new production licences to 11 companies in the 24 th licensing round.

• Nomination of blocks for the 24th licensing round

  14/03/2019 In press releases dated 29 August 2016 and 8 September 2016, the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy invited oil companies to nominate blocks for the 24th licensing round.
