Guidelines

Players are asked to nominate the blocks they would like to see announced in the first licensing round for mineral activity on the seabed. The nominations will be part of the foundation for considering which areas will be announced.

The nomination should address the following:

• General reasoning for the nomination
• Block designation
• Underlying data
• Main group of seabed mineral

If possible:

• Projected resource potential/mineral content
• Critical factors
• Other factors

Please enclose the following:

• Interpreted data, maps (including coordinates), photos or similar of the extent of expected or proven deposits
• Shape files of nominated blocks
• Shape files of exploration target outlines

If possible:

Table of elements/mineral content in samples
