Hearing – index regulation of area fee rates

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has submitted a proposal for adjustment of the area fee rate for production licences awarded pursuant to the 1965 Decree for consultation with the affected parties.

The basis for the adjustment is Statistics Norway’s (SSB’s) consumer price index. The proposed new rate is expected to increase from NOK 40 000/km2 to NOK 49 000/km2 from 1 January 2018.

The deadline for comments is 30 November 2017.
