Welcome to NPD's Exploration Technology Seminar
22/11/2018 The NPD invites to an Exploration Technology Seminar on December 5, 10-12 am. The seminar will take place in the Valhall auditorium at the NPD and lunch will be served after the seminar.
The NPD would like to follow up on one of the key topics from our 2018 Resource Report, which is how new technology and new ways of working contribute to exploration success. Has exploration become more effective? Have companies improved their predictions? Some of the results presented in the Resource Report were based on analyses performed by Westwood Global Energy for the NPD. These analyses were to a large extent based on interviews with industry professionals and exploration managers.
At the seminar, Graeme Bagley from Westwood will present the full report, focusing on the main results from their analyses. As part of the seminar, a few representatives from both oil and gas companies and service companies have been asked to provide reflections and short comments relating to the topic and to Westwood’s analyses. At the end, there will be a panel debate between Westwood, the NPD and company representatives.
