5/13/2019 The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted consent for start-up of the Trestakk field in the Norwegian Sea. Operator Equinor plans start-up during second quarter of 2019.

Consent for start-up of Trestakk is granted to the licensees in production licence PL091.

Investments in the development of the field are expected to total approx. NOK 5.2 billion.

Equinor estimates the recoverable volume from Trestakk at 10.7 million standard cubic metres of oil (67 million bbls) and 1.4 billion cubic metres of gas.

Trestakk is located about 25 kilometres southeast of the Åsgard field. The field will be developed with a subsea template with four well slots and one satellite well.

The wellstream will be transported through a 12-inch production pipeline to the Åsgard A facility, where the wellstream will be processed. The plan is to produce the Trestakk reserves with pressure support in the form of gas injection.

The addition of Trestakk brings the total number of producing fields on the Norwegian shelf to 85.
