The FORCE cooperating forum is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Most companies in the oil and gas industry in Norway are members. As the regulatory authority, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate plays an active role as head of the Secretariate.
The forum’s main goal is to learn from and share with all members.
Highlighting opportunities
FORCE is a cooperating forum within improved exploration and production and shall act as a driving force across production licences.
The forum was established in 1995 and was officially inaugurated by Jens Stoltenberg, who was the Minster of Industry and Energy at the time.
Meetings throughout the year
FORCE has organised a number of events over the years, about 25 in total each year. In the current pandemic situation, nearly as many meetings are held digitally.
In connection with celebrating the anniversary, FORCE has invited a few representatives from the 35 members to share their experiences in a video.
Minister of Petroleum and Energy Tina Bru also congratulates the forum on its anniversary. She emphasises the importance of this cooperation between the companies, the authorities and research communities, both now and in the past.
“Of course, we’d planned a big celebration, but this will unfortunately have to wait. Thank you for your cooperative efforts so far,” says Eva Halland, chair of the FORCE Secretariate.
