The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has published a new Appendix 4 to the Guidelines for the Measurement Regulations.
The Norwegian Offshore Directorate has published a new Appendix 4 to the Guidelines for the Measurement Regulations. This Appendix is a spreadsheet that can be used to submit an uncertainty budget for CO2 tax measurements to the Norwegian Offshore Directorate pursuant to Section 96 of the Measurement Regulations. The spreadsheet has been prepared in collaboration with the industry. An uncertainty budget for CO2 tax measurements must be submitted to the Norwegian Offshore Directorate on an annual basis by 1 March of the following year.
The Guidelines with appendices have been translated into English, with the exception of Appendix 4, which only exists in Norwegian.

On 5th of March 2025, the Ministry of Energy announced one area for CO2 storage pursuant to the CO2 Storage Regulations. This area comprises defined blocks in the North Sea.
