  26/04/2019 Equinor Energy AS, operator of production licence 870, has concluded the drilling of wildcat well 25/6-6 S. The well was drilled in the Stord Basin northeast of the Utsira High, about 35 kilometres northeast of the Jotun field and 170 kilometres northwest of Stavanger in the central part of the North Sea.

• Hourly rate for supervision increased

  25/04/2019 Pursuant to a decision from the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the rate for regulatory supervision of resource management has increased from NOK 850 to NOK 1 150 from and including 1 September 2018.

  23/01/2007 This year, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate is acknowledging the commitment made by the Norwegian supplier industry towards increased value creation on the Norwegian shelf, not least in research and development.  The IOR prize 2006 is awarded to both Baker Hughes and Halliburton for progressive development and application of advanced drilling and well solutions.
